Dear fellow mikers,
Please suggest me some places where I can find a pier like the one below or something similar. I dont want mentions of just water bodies with no pier but rather places which have a pier.

I don't know if this is what you want but will share the same. There is a long promenade (with water on both sides) at Geeta Nagar (Near Navy Nagar, Colaba) however the approach to this place is through slums. The people are friendly. Will try to dig out one or two photos of the place from my collection.

a small pier it at H2o complex at Chowpatty... though the pier open into the sea and not a lake. !

Ferry wharf has a pier, but not like that one in the OP. More developed, not sticking out much.
But what about Elephanta?

Nothing in Navi Mumbai, though Navi mumbai has ponds, lakes, developed sea shore. But nothing as you shown in pic.
