OOOOUCH my tooth and I am leaving today for pune

I will have to address this tooth problem once I arrive in Pune on Tuesday morning. Can anyone suggest a good dentist? Has anyone ever had to go to the dentist while they were in India? Any thoughts before I make a move. It would be greatly appreciated.

It is not so unusual to go to a dentist in India.

Indians do, regularly! (well, my dentist might complain that this is wrong: they only go when they already have a problem!)

As with so many things in this country, they are available at a rate to suit any budget, so you may choose anything between a guy in a hut with rusty pliers, and a guy with qualifications, experience and facilities as good as anywhere in the world.

If you really cannot find a recommendation, go to an upmarket private hospital. They will either have a dental clinic, or give you a recommendation.

I was in a similar situation before I left, and my Indian friends teased me that I have to get my tooth pulled out in an Indian street as there are no dentists

The biggest problem could be the flight, as sometimes it starts hurting more with the change of pressure.
