Nightlife and Sports Bars in Mumbai...

Hey Everyone

Been a long time since i posted on IndiaMike (last year i was asking about passports and visa's!)

Anyway, ive been living here for over a year now (in Bangalore) and im having a reunion with my friends from London, in Mumbai next weekend!

We're there Friday, Saturday and Sunday, leaving Monday morning.

Having been to Mumbai lastime, i only visited family and spent about a hour at some random bar, but im more interested to know where are the nicest, decent and happening places to be out in?

We're NRI guys looking for some fun filled drinks without bouncer hassles and ridiculous cover charges that end up being way more expensive than London!

I was told my hotel (Marriot) has the Enigma nightclub but i know Mumbai has so much more to see...

Some people suggested Zenzi, Vie Lounge, On Toes...

Also, where are the best places to just walk into and stay all night (until 3am) when we've come off the street from sightseeing etc? Also looking for some decent places to watch the EPL (Premier League) games on the Saturday and Sunday...any suggestions?

Cheers Guys!

Ravin

well totos the garage pub in bandra was our fav watering hole.

a beetel strung up from the ceiling. The front cab of an OMNI sticking out of a wall on the side in which the DJ plays music. The real kicker? until a while back the name of the merchant when you swipe your cards there was Totlani investments. I couldnt care less but for folks who didnt want to let the family in on their drinking it was a nice change to be seen as investing...

There are some sports bars in Colaba. Try Sports Bar Express in the Regal Cinema Building. Very handy to sightseeing. I think it closes around 1.30 am though. Beer is cheap there.

Drinks at Enigma are extremely expensive, I'd dare to say higher than London prices (and so is the cover charge, although I guess you'll be able to avoid paying that since you'll be a hotel guest).
