Need help; coming to mumbai for exam

hi all,
i have my exam in mumbai on 29th of this month. my center is in J B Nagar Link Rd,Chakala,Andheri(East). I have my relatives in Thane(W), i'll come to mumbai on 28th and stay in Thane.

1. So i need u all to tell me,how can i reach my exam center in Andheri(E) from Thane?

2. My exam is at 9 in the morning, so i have to reach there till 8:30, is Thane too far to reach Andheri on time?

3. How early i wud have to leave in the morning?

I just stumbled upon this site and i'm new so i hope this is the right place to place this query.

If you go by train you'l have to change line at Dadar and come back to andheri. From Andheri station you may hire an auto.

Best is to hire an auto directly from Thane, travel time will be approx 1 hour.

Thanks delhiwala. How much approx. auto will cost me? do buses also run on this route?
Also, is my destination address well recognized by the auto wala?

if i am not mistaken you should have a bus from thane to andheri.... but the travel time is likely to be longer in a bus....

i dont know much about autos in thane but directions to JB nagar shouldnt be very hard to come by...
