Mumbai Two nights Place to stay Help
Hi I will be In mumbai with 3 other friends next month.
Can anyone recommend a good place to stay. We dont have an awful lot of money probably around 500rs per night. Mumbai i hear is more expensive than other places Ive visited in india thats why we are only staying for a couple of days. Any help would be great. Cheers |

500 Rs is pretty much a low budget for a city like Mumbai. Still you can try in places like Chembur or Matunga near the railway stations, or even in Navi Mumbai for that matter if you increase the budget to around 750/800 Rs,

The Salvation Army Red Shield Hostel is a popular place that attracts alot of travelers. It's around 170 a night for dorm with free breakfast or around 700 for a double room with 3 meals.

The Salvation Army's Red Shield Hostel is at Mereweather Road just behind the Taj Mahal Hotel at Colaba. The check in/out is at 8am and during peak season the rooms are generally full. They have a dormitory style accomodation for men and women in separate dormitories and the cost is about Rs170 per person with a light vegetarian breakfast included. If you want a double room then it is around Rs700 but then there are other places nearby too which offer a double room for the same price or less with a shared bathroom. The dormitories cannot be booked in advance but the individual rooms can be booked. Hope this helps.
Cheers, Aadil.
