How about a mumbai IM meet up ? Let's get to know all the IMers from mumbai over lunch ,dinner. There are some really cool guys on IM from mumbai .

i think it is a good idea ... may be we should first compile a list of ims in bombay and all the visiting ims in mumbai till the next weekend and invite all of them to a place say close to colaba or fort so that every one can make it ...so all the ims in mumbai should reply to this thread


and then we can co ordinate

Hi Navin,
Sounds like a terrific idea. Colaba or fort area is fine. Bademiyan operates on the street and hence the tables which seat four only are spread out. This is not convenient for a "meet" and "talk" . Perhaps Leopold on the causeway or some other place where we can interact would be preferable. Kamats or Status at Nariman Point are other options.

Regarding IM meet let us wait for a few days to ascertain how many will come. How do we go about it?

hey navin-

i'd be keen if i am still here. thinking i will leave monday or tuesday. i think bademiya would be ok, and it is possible for big groups to put together tables, as long as it isn't too busy (which it usually is). easy for me though, as i am at salvation army.

Instead of it being ambiguos ... I suggest we fix a place where we all meet.. Let us keep it at Mcdonalds Open terrace at colaba above metro shoes Ist floor... it is not for the food. ... but for the sheer availabity of space and we can all meet up and familarise each other and move on to bade miyan after leos depending on how many want do so.

the date should be wednesday

Now let us stick to this idea and start a link for all mumbai imers or imers visiting mumbai to register themselves ...

I hope it would help some seniors like steven ber or cyber hippie or managers of this site would put it on sticky and higher rating for higher visibility for a shorter phasee

just yearning for this to happen someday.... but not this sat/sun pleeeeeeeeeeeease! am out and donot want to miss any such event on IM.

how about 24/25 weekend? will have xmas celebrations along!!

Wednesday may be out for some people if they are working (like me). Hope it is on a weekend though I could also be working then but generally most others will be able to make it then. Cafe Leopold or Mondegar seem like a nice meeting place for a couple of drinks before going to Bade Miyan for dinner.

Hey damine just lemme know the date and time and its on !! Any time from sunday to thursday (On leave for 6 days ) .

Amyl its cool there will always be meets up .Like the couch surfing gang meet's every week either for a rock concert , coffee , dinner or lunch .
Just post when and where you want a meet up .

As the preference is saturday.. let us keep saturday at leos ...i am posting my cell no for easy co ordination 9820814092. who ever is interested can call in and i will according post those many member names in a sticky to enable others to decide. I would prefer a sms instead of a call as i could be a tad busy during the weekdays and nights too hence may be i may not come online on this site for some time.

The Plan is saturday 24th december 2005 at 7.30 pm at LEO's ... all Imers are invited.We could make things interesting by having these things.

All guys and gals who are coming should get along their cherised photos of travel experiences in India or even Digital videos for all other members to view and discuss their travel experiences over a beer.

Instead of usual bade miyan.. we could brainstorm and go to a venue of every ones choice.

so lets make it happen it is a small start..
