Mumbai hotel......
Mumbai hotel......
we are heading to Mumbai next Wed, I tried to get booked into hotel Shelleys but it is booked out. Does anybody have any other recomendations please? Thanks
Ascot Hotel
I booked the Ascot Hotel for next month, reviews seem ok, looks clean. Its pretty much the only place in India where we're not staying in a budget hotel. May be booked up on short notice though, but give it a try.
regency hotel was very nice management especially.....
some reception staff were a tad moody at first but the deputy manager and the general manager especially (Mr Mehra )
The hotel is located in santa cruz east about 15 - 20 mins from international airport.......
have a great trip

Mumbai Hotel
Ascot Hotel, which someone mentions here, is fantastic, supermodern clean rooms, clean, efficient staff, simply perfect. I can't recommend it enough. It has only 24 rooms and is often full. Prices are 2800 and 3200 Rs. depending on room size, not too much at all by Mumbai standards.
In the same street, Garden Road, are two other good hotels, Godwin Hotel and Garden Hotel. Both belong to the same owner and have recently been renovated, and they're pretty good value. Prices start at around 2200 Rs. at Garden. I was recently at Godwin and had a large and very modern room for 2900 Rs., inclusive of a very nice buffet breakfast.

In almost the same price range as the Shelleys (Rs2200) you have the Hotel Residency (Rs1600 to 1800) at Fort and Hotel Railway (approx Rs1800) near CST. Hotel Benazeer is a bit cheaper than these two at around Rs998 for a double room. Then there are hotels mentioned by the other posters too. Hope this helps.
