Mumbai flights check in times

Hello, For our flight back home we will arriving at the Mumbai domestic airport from Goa at 4:15 but departing at the international airport at 12:00am. Our thoughts are to spend some time having dinner/drinks in Juhu since we will have already checked out south Mumbai when we arrive in India. My question is will we be able to check into our flight on Malaysia Airlines around 4 or 5 or will we have to put our bags into the "left luggage" area and then check in later? We really don't want to lung them around. Well thanks in advance for your reply's.

After you check-in your luggage, you will not be allowed to exit the airport...

You can check out the left luggage facility. Try calling them in advance or write to them and get a confirmation.

Sometimes, airports suspend left luggage facilities on account of security considerations and alerts.

Another option would be to hire a cab and have the luggage in the boot of the cab...safest and minimum dependencies...u might end up spending a bit more.

The inter-terminal coach service is very convenient, compared with the taxi that you will have to engage in case you wish to get out of the airport.

And the traffic scene outside - peak evening hour - is so awful, are you sure you really want to get stuck in it for a couple of hours's outing into Bombay?

Inter-terminal coach is not going to take them to Juhu, So I agree with ribhu that book a cab for half a day and keep the lugage in the cab. Only addition would be that for doing this book cab thru an agecny rather than take a cab at the aiport.

No, what I meant was that the traffic scene at that time outside the airport is chaotic and it may be a better idea to stick around in the airport itself, take the inter-terminal coach to the International terminal at Sahar, rather than battling traffic from Juhu to Sahar.

Thank you all for your replies- it really helps. Can you tell me what an "agency cab" is opposed to the airport taxi? Thanks.

Well the cabs at the aiport are the usual cabs that you can just flag down, these cabbies outside the airport are thugs so avoid them. You can get pre-paid but that is point to point so you cannot ask him to wait with your luggage. there are pvt taxi cos which book vehciles for you, they may be costly but for your requirement more reliable
