I have been to this place for meetings couple of times - it is similar to the Belvedere at Oberoi. It is a high-end club with in a hotel but not much otherwise. The fuss is obviously because of the exclusivity of the place.

Shows how low class I am. I thought this referred to the lower and upper compartments of the Taj Mahal ..

very nice, very old world charm to it. Though Belvedere in Delhi is a lot more European this is a lot more India meets the Raj.

So.

Through the main door - walk confidently---; if you want to get in for a meeting.

If ofcourse your question was how do you get a membership, I wouldnt know as I have never dreamt of applying but some options are:
  1. Earn a lot of money
  2. Get referall from someone like Ratan Tata
  3. Marry someone rich
  4. Apply now and wait - may be your grandchildren will get in
