Mumbai Airport

Does anyone know if my flight is landing at 2:45 am in Mumbai from Dubai and it's my first time coming back to India, how long can I expect to be out of the airport by? I'm wondering if Immigration takes a lot of time there.

I want try to catch a train to Aurangabad at 6:10 and am wondering if I can safely make that or not pending my flight is on time.

Thanks.

You should be clear of customs and immigration in an hour or less, specially if coming out through the green channel.

Enough time for the train, whichever station you are taking it from.

Your flight may be on time but nowadays there are a lot of delays due to Air Traffic Control (congestion due to many flights at the same time over Mumbai airspace) hence flights may come over Mumbai but are not able to land and have to circle over the city for quite a long time. Please allow some time for this kind of delay and then since there are renovations taking place in the arrival hall of the terminals so there are bound to be more delays overall. Still it may not take you more than one hour to clear immigration and customs if you have nothing to declare and pass through the green channel. Getting to your train station will not be more than one hour at the most from the airport once you board your prepaid taxi which should not cost you more than Rs350 for getting to either CST or Mumbai Central and much less to Dadar, Bandra, Andheri or Kurla (Lokmanya Tilak Terminus).

Cheers,
Aadil.

The customs queue you go through when you have nothing to declare. (dutiable)

Unless you are Oscar Wilde (I think it was him) who told a customs guy in the US that he had 'nothing to declare except his genius'

Just to let you all know that there are no duty free shops what so ever at the airport and the only place you can buy a beer is the bar who are charging a whopping 450rps for a small beer and 350rps for a coffee
