anyone know of any sites offering meet and greet at mumbai airport. anyone ever used one? do i need to use one or should i just risk it....i have never been to india before and am a bit worried about the culture shock of arriving at 3.00am on my own....or.....is that all part of the experience?

I haven't been to Mumbai yet, but I'll just be booking my first night's accommodation online and arranging an airport pickup through them.

There's prepaid taxis at the airport too, apparantly.

hello

i would say, invest some money and book a hotel with transfer through your travel agent at home. you will feel much more relaxed.

by the way, the drivers from the hotels are usually waiting in front of the arrival hall and not inside (when i arrived in mumbai, i found the hall quite empty and i was looking for my driver for several minutes inside the hall... ;-) ).

have fun

We aren't aware of anyone doing exactly what we do at Mumbai, but many hotels will send a car out for you. Quotes from last year ranged from Rs 400 to Rs 800 (800 is too much). Making a reservation in advance with a hotel that will send a car out is the most reassuring thing to do. There is also a prepaid taxi stand, with all the usual cautions.
