Looking to meet people - Mumbai
Looking to meet people - Mumbai
Hi everyone,
I moved to Mumbai a month ago and am having trouble making social connections. I was wondering if there's any expat groups or any other social groups I can join to meetup for lunch or drinks around Mumbai.
Let me know, would be really helpful...Thanks!

You could always check what's going on at the Mumbai Meetups.
A personal recommendation for things to do would be to get a hold of the TimeOut Mumbai magazine on the ground, see also Cultural events listings, nightlife, going out, calendars, schedules.

Hey! also check out internations.org , for expats around the world. The Mumbai one is very good, they have monthly parties at lush bars for networking and having fun, there are also many groups meeting up for dancing, hiking etc.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Laanisa, thanks alot for the suggestion about internations.org I checked out the website and tried to join but I think you need an invite from another member.
Can you possibly send me an invite
Thanks so much again for your help, much appreciate it

No worries, I think you just need to register at the site, write a bit about yourself and email them and they'll get back to you, its just a formality really. If you're having trouble i'd be happy to help, but then i need your email id

Hi guys and gals,I have recently moved from London to live/work in Mumbai. Although of Indian origin, I have never lived or worked in Mumbai, India in the past. I am looking to meet some geniune people to be friends within Mumbai, possibly Bandra West.
So if you are in a similar situation, it would be nice to know you all over a meal or drink.
Thanks,
Samad
Hi samad, I am also from london, and am a first timer visiting to mumbai. I am here for about 3 weeks and it would be great to meet up with any other travellers who want to xplore the city. I am currently staying with a friend in Bandra West, however they are busy working most of the time so would be great.

also new to Mumbai
Hi Samad (and Paul if you're still here),
My boyfriend and I have just moved to Mumbai as well, and are looking to make new friends. I'm volunteering with a charity for a few months, while he's going through interviews etc for more formal work, but we don't really know anyone else here yet.
We'll be moving into a flat in Bandra West at the weekend, so maybe we could all arrange to meet for a drink round there some time?
Best wishes,
Anna

Hey all,
Just a few recommendations for meetimg expats/locals through organised events. I've found these groups very useful for meeting people and settling in to Mumbai.
Internations - already been mentioned - they do a monthly(ish) get together at a decent bar/restaurant (typically in Bandra) - usually a crowd of 200/300 people
Cigar Club - again, a monthly event at some great locations (usually South Mumbai) - and typically also about 200 people
French Tuesdays - slightly more 'upmarket' get together, at higher-end venues - monthly
All have websites (except Cigar Club)
Hope this helps!
