leasing apartments
hi,
I'm moving to Mumbai in December for about 6-7 months. I'm thinking about arranging a paying guest over the internet and then looking for an apartment after I arrive. HOw long is a standard lease in India? Are leases common practise? In Canada I would usually sign a 1 year lease and make sure that I can sublet the place for the remainder of the year after I leave. Is subletting possible in India? Month to month accomodation would be best. Any sugggestions would be great. thanks! |
