Is there a Blockbuster in Mumbai ?
Movie / DVD Rentals in Mumbai
I love watching movies...saw 8 in a day once in Ottawa multiplex !! had to leave the last movie after half an hour so as not to miss the last bus home... Anyway, I was wondering if there are any places in Mumbai that rent DVDs.... near Malad, Link Rd., Inorbit Mall area?? Its too expensive to keep on buying DVDs, latest movies like Casino Royale James Bond are Rs 599. Or anyone in the area interested in DVD exchanges ?? Must start a DVD exchange club in Mumbai...Aadil?? Anyone?... Thank you for your help, all... ![]()

I do have about 400 DVDs which I would love to exchange - mostly American movies, but I do have a few Indian ones too. Please PM for exchanging contact details.

There are many small shops which run video and DVD libraries though they are not as many as there used to be a few years ago. You are lucky that you already found one in the area you live in.
Cheers, Aadil.

Txs FOTM, BTW, DVD - ATMs they call them. I was a "member" of one of these in Paris suburbs last year (Vanves area for Paris afficianados). I understand these ATMs are quite common in Europe, - France anyway. For someone coming from Canada where Blockbusters are found at every corner, like pubs in England, the DVD-ATMs in Paris are "cute" little machines !! Read a piece about these in The Times of India recently. Something about how few there are in Mumbai and some local company is planning to set up hundreds over the next few years. Mentionad a cost of 30 Lakh rupees per ATM, holding 2000 DVD titles. |
