Hi,

I sent two parcels through Mumbai GPO Main Post last month, February 22nd, and only one showed up at my house in the United States. The online tracking system gives no information at all about my packages and suggests filling out a complaint form. I filled one out a week ago after being told by the Udaipur Head Office that I MUST do this first before they could help me....and a week later, still no response. I'm no longer in Mumbai but so far I've been told from the people at GPO that it was SENT on March 1st from Mumbai, but the person in the US still hasn't received anything. They also said that the message "Insert Item into Bag" comes up when they use their internal tracking system. What does this mean? And how can I make sure my package is in the US before I leave India in 10 days?! Help!

Would it matter if it wasn't?

I don't know if you can ensure the parcel is in the US, but it sounds like you have someone checking your mail at home and I presume they will tell you the moment it turns up.

It possibly means that the item was sent to your country's receiving post office. Give it some time for delivery, if you do not have any mechanism to track it locally in your home country.

Well you have sent it by India Post so for sure it would take some time to get it delivered at the destination.People in India also dont feel safe sending things by India Post but be assured it would reach the destination but well it will take time after all you have parcelled your thing through India Post..
