Mangola
It is called Mangola slice or something like that. You will find them in any supermarket for about Rs 35 for the 1.2li bottle. Maybe a bit more expensive now as its summer. Or maybe it was a Maaza which we drank, they are all "mangola" to me!!

Yes it is still available in Mumbai and it is called Mangola Slice. It is available in small 200ml glass bottles as well as in larger PET bottles. The price does not change except when you go to a restaurant where they charge you extra for providing it with service and ambience charges!!!
Cheers, Aadil.

Trupti Aahar again
Went to Trupti Ahar at Parel again on Sunday. We were there at 12noon when the place was empty and we were the 'bonee' lunch customers. The Prawns thali was better and fresher than ever.

has anyone being going out at all? there are so many new places out there - China House, Sammy Sosa amongst others.
lets hear who has been doing what. i have been eating out a great deal (Dum Pukth, Peshawari, Dakshin, Indigo Deli, Flamboyante etc) in the past few days. it just becomes painful to update every place so i just do it on the blog but it seems folks here are lazier than i am if thts possible.

was over at Tamnak Thai last night. Have never been there before but driven by it a million times. i was told its not good but we ended up there anyway.
food is not too bad, it has potential. if you pick the dishes right you wont go wrong. its not pricey either. the thai curry, mushroom rice and pad thai noodles were great. one of the starters sucked though. we dropped 8500 for 8 with plenty of drinks. worth a go. |

Mumbai has the most diverse food services I have encountered (and I'm from New York!). If you stay open-minded, you can definitely discover a lot of different cooking styles. Apart from the regular european-style eaterys with Itlaian and French cuisine, you can really get to know the Indian cuisine. That is diverse with anything from Kashmiri, Malyali, Bengali, Gujarathi, Malwani to Parsi kitchen.
You can't imagine how different the cooking styles of the Indian regions are (prefer Kashmiri myself, though Parsi is totally good too). Get ready for a totally un-western experience there. G. Last edited by glolly1 : Jun 27th, 2008 at 13:45. Reason: Spelling |

Thumbs UP :-Lunch at Ruby Tuesday - Inorbit Malad. Loved their Chicken "Stackers"
Thumbs down:- Lunch at Pot Purri - Inorbit Malad the open kitchen is really noisy .The Roast chicken pasta 250/- was a mix of pasta ,whole pepper and other chillies thrown into a bowl really unpleasant.
