What good news! I am also a cult follower of place.
Had been, disappointed on visits to ‘Shere Punjab” of dadar, “Delhi durbar” of vikhroli and some other places in search of Punjabi food. but this place, recommended to me by my Bombay based cousin, was beyond imagination .Ambiance and menu plus cult followers makes this place beyond comparison.

Dear what are prevalent rates like now for simple but delicious Punjabi and other stuff they serve?

I would be pleasantly surprised if Khyber and Delhi Durbar served Shawarma but I may be wrong. They are pure Indian places (Though Khyber can pass off for North West Frontier Cuisine)
Thanks a lot guys..
I went to Picadilly last weekend.. especially for the showerma.
I realized that the one i had eaten was probably a "Mughlai" variety of it. The lebanese showerma was good, but nowhere close to what i had eaten in Nasik. I am still looking for the "Mughlai" showerma (if something like that really exists in mumbai)

I would definitely be trying out at the above joints... in my search for the perfect showerma..

Try the Showermaa at Shalimar (Md Ali Road). It is the Indianised version but packs quite a punch with a neat price tag (Rs60).

Hi I need some help, I will be visiting Mumbai in Jan End next year, Before i start of i am a vegetarian and will be staying in West Andheri and need a few suggestions:-

1) Need to visit a restaurant serving Good marwari Thali. Also need a restaurant serving good Gujrati Thali.
2) Need to savor some good Bhel Puri + Vada Pav + Pani Poori.
3) What else is special about Mumbai Food.

Places close to Andheri would be appreciated. I dont mind traveling if it is worth. if you recommend some other place a brief "How to reach" will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Prasanth

For Maaru thali try Samraat...multi locations including crawford mkt
Bhel you can try prem's Ice Bhel at King Circle Matunga
Even the guys at Juhu Chowpatty dish out decent fare

Try Rajdhani for thalis in different locations all over Mumbai. Golden Star is also nice. Try Deluxe at Fort for the Kerala Sadya thali on banana leaves on Sundays.

Cheers,
Aadil.

last night i was passing by 5 spice fort, ordered a veg mangolian pot rice for take away, price on the menu was 160/-, since it was a take away they gave 10% discount, and it was a very well made dish, people at home praised it, quantity was enough for 2 persons,

i will keep going to this place for more, next time will take the family

cheers
