Been to IVY...cant give a detailed report as there is nothing more to write about if u arent a aredent wine fan....which frankly am new at...
Though i liked the chatue Indage's "Anarkali" , first Indian Wine to win a major international wine prize...quite liked it...another one was "Muazzam-E-Khas" ....which was nice again but my novice throat always prefer light simple white wine which is more on the sweeter side. Food is nothing special, probabley good old Pizza hut had better salad bar. Go there only if you like wines and are passionate to explore the doings of the pioneers in Indian Wine industry & most importantly have some serious bucks to spend. Skinny ....u know... what i like about you is your undying modesty...you never cease to be humble and under-rate your abilities ...we all know that you dont need our help, be it emotional or monetary..... you are just being humble by asking us for monetary help... Come on skinny stop pretending to be a borrower ( we know you have enough to be a lender instead ) |

Went to Golden Star on the 22nd of October, Sunday lunch. 15-20 minutes waiting, loads of Maharashtrians and Gujjus. Thali was ok.. service was quite crappy actually. Undhiyu wasn't made that day, it was jalebis, basundi, 3 veggies, some (not v.good) dal bati, rice, dal, kadhi etc. 215 per head, quite expensive.
I'm in Amdavad right now, better thalis for 80/- a head at Toran, Ashram Road. |

i was at Corelone again this past weekend.
The Soups (pomodoro, mushroom) were both below average. However the entree, veg antipasti (pickeled veggies with ricotta was excellent) as was the mushroom (WOW) we got the penne in an arrabiataesque sauce (should hve avoided the eggplant in it) but overall a decent meal damage around 1600 ($35) I would like to say the service was excellent however, attentive, gracious and overall a pleasure. |
