Foodie in Mumbai, care to join me?

Hey there. I'm Faine. Big food obsessive and ESPECIALLY in regards to Indian stuff. I'm headed to Mumbai tomorrow and will be there until the first of September. Was wondering if anyone - local or tourist - might be interested in joining me for dinner or lunch somewhere. I have a food blog and always like to have others join me for my posts/reviews.

I'm especially interested in Parsi food, local style seafood, and chaats (of course). Suggestions from locals or the initiated on those would be great. I have an Indian cell number, so PM me or email me if you're interested and we'll work something out.

I'm staying in Colaba, but this is my second trip to Mumbai so I know where stuff is....shouldn't get too lost!

Thanks!

In the Colaba and Fort area you will find a lot of Parsi food joints like Britannia, Sassanian, Kyani, Paradise, Mocambo, Jimmy Boy, Ideal Cafe, etc. In Bandra (West) there is Ashmick's which is opposite 5 Spice on Pali Market corner.

Seafood is best at Pratap Lunch Home, Mahesh Lunch Home, Trishna, etc.

Kerala cuisine is worth going for at Deluxe, Rehmaniya and Fountain Plaza in the Fort area.

City Kitchen near the GPO and Martin's Cafe at Colaba are cheap options but great Goan food.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Aadil.

For great Parsi/irani food head to cafe brittania at Ballard pier. Try the berry pulao and dhansak there. Have tea and bun at yazdani bakery at fort. There are many great restaurants in the Colaba area. Would have loved to join you but am currently prohibited outside food

Some expensive Chaat at Vithal's Bhelwala, near New Excelsior
