My friend and I were in India earlier in October, 2007. Well in advance, we had made arrangements with Amin for 2 or 3 days of touring Mumbai. We were VERY happy with his driving, his car, and his happy, cheerful personality. He took such good care of us that he made Mumbai a wonderful experience. We felt that we were finally seeing and learning about the real India, as opposed to the over-sheltered view we had while being escorted around by our travel agency's representatives in Delhi and Goa. We ended up using his services for 2 days since we just planned shopping for our last free day. We used taxis to get around to places like Fabindia, Cottage Industries, Rhythm House and Planet M. We thought later that we could have asked him for that day also to save time, but we kind of enjoyed being on our own for one day. I don't think we would have fared as well though if we hadn't just had Amin's training in crossing streets and haggling with taxi drivers, shopkeepers, etc.

Amin's rate now is Rs. 1800 per day, and he's well worth it! The car was very comfortable with good AC, and he is an excellent driver and guide.

Amin!!!!!

Last week our friend's daughter came alone to Mumbai for 2 nights directly from Nepal.
Amin took care of her and she told me that from the moment she met him she was smiling!!!!!
He gave her 2 great days of tour and she felt in love with him and Mumbai......

An Innova for 200 kilometers and outstation will cost you about 2200/2500 ex Delhi, all inclusive.
Cheaper if you are a regular customer, or a big one.

Can't believe Bombay rates can be that much higher.

He does take a day. I've already booked him for a couple of days! He was actually quite prompt in his email replies. I wonder what happened??
