domestic airport -> Hardrock Cafe -> domestic airport in 6 hrs?
domestic airport -> Hardrock Cafe -> domestic airport in 6 hrs?
The subject says it all: I am a HRC addict
Unfortunately I only have limited time during June for my first India trip and I ended up with this:
UDR-BOM on Jet arrival 10:20AM
BOM-PNQ on Jet departure 4:35PM
All on a June saturday. I have a connecting flight out of Pune the next morning.
hardrock.com lists the local Cafe being at
Bombay Dyeing Mill Compound, Pandurang Budhkar Marg, Mumbai (Bombay), Maharashtra 400025, India
Would it be feasable (not reasonable
) to take a cab from the domestic terminal to the HRC and back in the given 6 hours?
How much time should I plan for the trips and waiting time at the airport?
Based on other comments and links Juhu Beach could be an option for a short trip away from the airport madness. Correct?
Thanks in advance.

I don't see why you couldn't get to the HRC & back within six hours by taxi.
Traffic can be very bad, but maybe it's a bit better on a Saturday. And even if it took 2 hours each way (it's not that far but traffic can be at a standstill), you'd still have time to get there, have a look around, buy a shirt & get back to the airport! Sounds like a good adventure!
Maybe someone from Mumbai will read this & give you an accurate timeframe.

My selected India photos http://www.indiamike.com/photopost/s...r/7030/cat/500 Flying to Pune from Mumbai? Its only 2 hours by car to Pune.
Given your above schedule, not possible to make it to HRC and back in time to check in for your onward flight, unless you skip the flight to Pune and take a cab/train.
Hard Rock Cafe isn't that happening during the days, more lively during the night.

That is challenging to say the least. We live in Bandra and from here to HRC is (at least) one hour. Ad half an hour for the travel from Dom airport. You need some time to get out of the airport and some time to check in for your flight out. If you get stuck in traffic and that is highly likely while they are doing a lot of roadwork at the moment you will miss the flight. I am not a HRC fan so I would recommend Juhu Beach anyway
If you are an HRC fan you may consider tweaking ur itinerary a bit. Instead of taking a 4.35 flight to Pune. Hire a cab in Mumbai and leave HRC at about 5 or 6 PM to Pune. You should reach Pune by about 9.30 -10 PM

May be you should also consider if Hard Rock cafe will be open around noon.

HRC to airport...each way is 1 hr of drive time.
Do account 15 mins each for:
1. Getting out of the airport and finding a taxi
2. Getting out and finding a taxi at/from HRC
3. Getting out of the taxi and into the airport.
You should be at the airport say an hour and fifteen mins before your flight time.
So, it can be managed within six hours...but make sure u have all the info on hand and dont waste any time finding out where the place is etc.
The taxi should cost you around Rs.250 odd from the airport one way.
