Hi
could anyone give me directions on how to find the pre paid taxi service at Mumbai Airport (international and domestic). Have read it on a previous thread but unfortunatly after looking can't find it.

Sorry it's the pre paid goverment run taxi booth we want, will be very tired and when we arrive and don't want to head off in the wrong direction.

If you come out of the International terminal 2A or 2C then it is on the way to the exit after the customs hall. You will find a counter with a board mentioning the different slabs for the different places according to the distances with the respective prices mentioned for the normal as well as Airconditioned (Cool Cabs). There will not be anyone shouting out to you from behind the counter to get a cab from them unlike the other one which is a private car hire firm posing as a prepaid taxi service which it is not!!!

When you come out of the Domestic Terminals 1A or 1B there is no prepaid taxi or auto service but the security guards will show you which cab to take and also hand you a fare conversion card with the rates for taxis and autorickshaws with day and night fares and luggage charges. They will also take down your name and address along with the taxi registration number so that if you make a complaint then they will be able to catch the culprit (driver)!!! Ensure that you use the meter and pay according to the fare conversion card. Hope this helps.
