Hi,

I would like to know that how long will CST to Andheri East by a cab. Actually I am thinking of taking a prepaid cab from CST to Andheri, cause I would be reaching Mumbai CST sometime around 1AM at night... so would prefer Prepaid Cabs... their services are good i heard...

(want to give a surprise to my bro out there... so dint want to spill out the plan to him.. and hence need the support of you folks)

Thanx a lot.. cheers!

At 1 am, 80/90 mins will be more than enough, I would think. Depends where in Andheri East.

@ 1 am night you will reach Andheri East in less than 1 hour or even lesser. I doubt, if there are pre-paid taxis at Mumbai CST. I would suggest getting down at Dadar if your train stops there. You will save time & money both by getting down at Dadar.

Almost every train stops at Dadar while entering Mumbai.

If you dont have too many bags - walk across to the West side. You will get down on 'Tulsi Pipe road' from there at 1am - Andheri East would be about 30mins & should cost you not more than 200 bucks.

If you have bags - just walk of the station at the platform where the train stops. No big deal.

Good luck

Which train??

Which train are you coming on?

There is no train from Delhi (your listed location) to CST arriving at 1 am.

As said above, get off at Dadar. Take a taxi to Andheri East. You will reach in 30 mins or maybe less if the taxi driver knows the Andheri bylanes properly.

Thumbs up

Hey thanks a lot for the info... my bro stays near marol... got my tickets confirmed...

dont u think prepaid taxi would be a better idea from Dadar.. cos i'm kinda not sure of the taxis-walas there... they might heavily dupe me at that hour

please tell me whether there is any difference between DIAL-A-CAB and MERU CABS with regards to rates. And how much is the approx distance between CST and Marol, and Dadar and Marol

thanx for ur help of getting down at dadar.... really appreciate all our responses....

From Dadar to Marol should not cost more than 200 ideally. So considering 1am & maybe a couple of bags - anything more than 300 would not be ok.

You could settle the rate before starting. Simplest way out. Have fun.

I donno if u can get pre-paid taxi from dadar. But at 12:30 am, Dadar will be crowded & getting a taxi will be no problems. & Don't worry, cabbies in Mumbai won't cheat so much. U can fix in advace. Start with 200 & anything below 300 is a good bet.
