Canadian girls in Mumbai

Hi everyone! i've enjoyed reading your replies for a while, and could really use your help for a question that i have myself. it's kind of particualr but any info you could give would be greatly appreaciated!

Soon enough my 2 roommatets and i will be moving to mumbai. What kind of jobs can we expect to get as 22 year old canadian females, and what kind of compensation could we expect? We are definately not IT people, just high school grads with some college. Are there any particular industries we should look to apply in?

please save me, rent in mumbai has terrified me!!!!

Will you have a work visa?
You would have to make some connections in Bollywood first, if they offer you a job no Indian can do, (which would be the case)you will get work visa.

You wunt get any money in that...trust me it isnt something big and i dun even know how many bolly movies go for English subs,,if you know subs are there on internet for free... there are too many of us who are good and real fast at this..so why would someone pay for this...movies that go for international screening (may be 2 or 3 in a year) do try to get subs.

As of now hospitality industry is in a bad shape.Recession + terror attacks have a major impact.
Call Centres have stopped recruiting due to global recession.

i think only Bollywood can save you guys

Very hard, since a lot of competition.
My guess 50 000 to 100 000 rups a year for each, if you are very lucky. (most likely less)

Not Bollywood, the 5 cats, I'm sure they are meant as emergency rations. Thats 1.66666667 cats for each of them.

I think that should keep them from begging for food ?

ya try acting in bolly flicks ! my friend in mumbai thinks its a bad bad world out there. He is working as a small time actor, he was also there for 2 minutes or so in " Rang De Basanti "

Your the so called firang i gues youll get good offers...do you know yana from czech ? the very famous yana gupta ?

Try being a content writer, im sure your English will do wonders when compared to Indian English.(i hope i am right) People here might get pissed at this comment though !

I was only kidding about working in bollywood, for though i love it and watch hindi cinema fanatically, begging for measly roles just aint my scene
