I would suggest you take the train from Bandra (Harbour Line Station) to Panvel. It will be much cheaper than the cab!!! If you don't have much luggage then it should not be too much of a problem to carry your bags on the local train to Panvel.
Cheers, Aadil.

This is not goona work...Panvel is just like a suburn of Mumbai, and no one actually thinks about sharing a cab...I am not sure wht kind of response you are hoping for...but I would have hoped for none..

I wont mind sharing it to some place which comes in between or adjusting route slightly if someone has to get down someplace which is not very far from my route..and i know for sure that this travel is like gonna cost me some 1k..so wats the harm in sharing a cab..is it security issue..I wud be willing to show my id card if thats the case..and wud also expect the person to show it jst to be doubly sure for other person...i dont think sharing a cab shud be an issue ..if it saves anyone 200 to 400 bucks!!

The other option would be to take a ST bus from Dadar. The state buses ply between Dadar and Panvel at 30 minute intervals and are relatively empty. So just take a cab from Bandra to Dadar from where you can take the bus to Panvel.
