Budget hotels in Bombay?

Hi everyone, can anyone help me with bugdet hotels in Mumbai.. We are arriving there on the 14th of Nov and would like to stay there for two days before heading off to Goa.

I checked a few postings in this website but couldn't get any straight any answers.

There are four of us in my group and we are looking for a family room. We don't want to spend more then 40$ per night... worse case 50$. The cheaper the better but a good clean room.

So all your inputs or links to other threads that has what we are looking for will be very helpful.
