British butler

I'd like to hire a British butler in Mumbai - where can I get one? Even though I found a windmill on Ebay - I couldn't find the services of a British butler - if anyone knows where can I get one or if anyone reading this is interested in the job, do let me know.

I think you'll struggle to find a real Butler in Bombay .... but you could use an agency in the UK?

The Butlers Guild may help?

http://www.butlersguild.com/

But expect to pay over 20 lakh Rs for a trained butler

Come to think of it, I don't think we make anything anymore.... apart from the occasional war....

And you'll expect him to wear formal butler uniform, whatever the weather?

Of course, why get a Brit named Austin otherwise - if someone named Ramu would make do?

Oh, but we do!

Prince Charles has a butler farm; part of the Dutchy of Cornwall. Whilst they used to roam free over thousands of acres, it is now reduced to a small-holding which just supplies the Royal Family and immediate friends (if they are lucky, they may get one in a hamper at Christmas). But the annual Butler-upping ceremony is still entertaining for the handful of invited toffs.

few hundred years ago it wasn't necessary. The Lord of the manor had the pick of any butler born in the village --- although the aristocracy had the right to pick theirs first, of course.

I have heard rumours of there being a few start-up attempts on the outskirts of Bangalore --- to produce Indian-Made Foreign Butlers. But customers complain that they can't understand the accents. Main problem is most of the Indian ones can pronounce the letter "R"
