Bombay Event Guide Howdy; I will be in Bombay between 05 and 10 March. Is there an event guide that can tell me what is happening in the city aroundthat time, especially in the suburb called Bhandra. Theatre, rock music, sporting events, religous festivals... anything like that. Thanks, Billy.

Hi Billy, just check your hotel room. Every big city in India has a kind of "DublIN" brochure and it's actually laying around in every hotel.

thanks Bosco, I was in Bombay once before and saw all the touristy stuff, I think this time round I'd like to get more into the modern culture than the historic culture. Soul Fry sounds great.... cheers, Billy.

You can pick up two magazines from stalls, one's Time Out (Mumbai edition)and the other called Explocity. The second has a website too - explocity.com

Hi Billy, Elaborate on what you mean by modern culture. What to do and see in Bandra can also vary, all depending on your budget... Cheers.

| Member | Hi Billy, Bandra is a lovely suburb. I lived there for about 14 years. Make sure you watch a sunset at the portuguese fort at Land's end. The fort overlooks the sea. It is a major landmark. You won't have any trouble finding the place. If you can, try and catch a play in Bombay. Theatre is very popular there. On google, look out for Prithvi theatre to find out what's playing there. It will be worth your while to experience Indian drama. I will make additional posts if anything else comes to mind. Pranav |
