My neighbour told me that one or more of the terrorists had been living in the Nariman House as guests for 6 months to a year. I haven't herad or readthis story anyone else. Did anyone of you heard this? She probably had it from a Hindi Tv channel.

Just had sad news that my favourite restaurant in the Taj.. Wasabi.. is on fire. Reporter was nearly in tears telling it. Had Christmas dinner there two years ago (sushi not very festive.. but we crave it here!) Hate to think of .. such a lovely place

Rebuilding is going to take a very long time. I doubt the Taj will be open again for a long long time.

Dangerous emotions now from the mob... anti pakistan slogans being chanted. Not good stuff as people will just take their hurt and anger and turn things into something no one can benefit from.

But NSG chief JK Dutta talked only about one casualty (Constable Garjendra Singh, what a brave soul) and two injuries.

Well.. those stats were from a hindi news channel... the english channels have not yet said those things at all. I will continue monitoring across as many as I can to see. I HOPE it's wrong.

Oh dear, the news just keeps getting worse. Jude and others - you are doing a wonderful job keeping us up to date. I have watched some of this on television but our cable station was out today for much of the day. You must be exhausted, Jude - do take care and others also, sanna, brishti, and our other Mumbai members here. I would never have imagined how long this is going on, and to what a horrifying extent - it is really shocking.

I know.. that's the thing isn't it. I can barely believe it's the 3rd night!! I mean.. we have slept and are sitting comfortably. These people are in such extremes... the terrorists the most of all. I would have thought even adrenalin would have run out by now. I so don't want to go to bed on this... but I fear eventually yet again I will be...

Bad stuff happens so often in the world Jude. The least you can do to make it less is be good to yourself, and go get some sleep.

The 3rd night - that's what I find almost unbelievable.. in the recent past these acts of terrorism in Metros have been over within a day and night - although Kashmir is a very ongoing troublespot. One doesn't think it could be possible in cities like Mumbai though.. do take some sleep though Jude, main thing is to look after yourself and family.

Reports of 20 more commandos at Taj.

Aaj Tak briefly talked to a NSG commando and tried to give a glimpse of those commandos going away in a bus. All my blessings to them. What a life, you go inside the building from where everyone is trying to stay away.

Star News reporting that request has been made to press to switch off their lights, correspondent Deepak Chauraisa reporting in darkness. Though the hotel is well lit from outside.
