this city has it all it can dress a human from Rs 150 to no limits

You can shop till you drop,provided you have enough space to carry things home

Be aware of organised Shopping scandals organised by very few touts / Taxi drivers

I planning on doing a trip in this order
london -mumbai-goa- chennai-london

mumbai for landing and shopping
goa for relaxing and shopping
and chennai for shopping mostly( as you read in my other threads)

but so far i had planned to stay in mumbai just 1 day before living for goa but now I am wondering if it enought
espcially if I do find the indo-western style that I am after..

dunno what 2 do
i suppose that it will depnd on the tips that I get on shopping in mumbay

hello thanks these infos are so precious and it makes everything clearer because i must say that mumbai is still a bit cloudy in my mind Iam afraid that i ll be running around like a headless chiken...get the picture.... which needs to avoided at all cost,also your advice reagarding doing others things then shopping in mumbay makes sense ( id like to go 2 film city as iam a bollywood fan)
still have to sort out everything in order not to miss the most important

I need a good balance between seeing the main things and shopping even though shopping is my main priority in mumbai ,I rather bring back a nice bag with all th e colors of mumbai which i ll be using all the time back home and so have a reminder and a smell of my holydays then a picture of the gateway of india ( u have to look 4 the pic and it might get lost) and cant rely on good memories neither mine is very bad so the indian`s bag is the best for me..ahahahah
women are so smart when it comes to shopping aren t we????

so my point is a what t know excatly what iam gonna be doing..

GOA is starting to take shape though thanks to you all .but i must tell you that ive been told off 4 having privates messaging with you ..so please could you answer to my thread instead and then everybody will benefit which is th epoint of the website

One day in Mumbai is definitely not enuf. Check out Colaba Causeway and Bandra linking road for knicknacks. U can also visit dharavi for leather products. Lemme know if u require and specific info. Will help all i can.

i chose to stay in mumbai only 1 day because ill will not be mentally prepared to face mumbai city /yet but i am sure that after 10 days in goa..ill be like ...bring it on..


so far i ve a vague idea of what i want to do
i d would say that- on the 11 id focus on shopping instead of seeing places.
i am just to exicted about the indian shopping experience to want to do anything else.

then when i come back well shopping of course but with a bit of variety like seeing places..must see stuffs ect....

just need to choose to prioritise what i don t want to miss

now needs to organise all of that bearing in mind that mumbai traffic is awful..
no way i m going waste time in transports...
i want to do all the shopping areas possible but i need to know how close they are from each other ( like coloba fron linking road) etc...and also from my hotel which is going to be in south goa ,,probably


ok i stop talking ( writing )now dont want to confuse you

ps ; by the way how expensive would you say mumbay is..clothes -wise etc..???

If you are palnning to stay in Mumbai only for 1 Day, then it is better you visit Elephanta Caves.

You will get the boat from Apollo Bunder, i.e. from Gateway of India and it will take 1 hour to reach Elephanta Caves, Please do remember that you will have to return from Elephanta Caves by 4.30 to 5 as the last boat is at around 5 pm.
