Pune - Lonavala daily commute via expressway - Feasible?

Not really an expat question, but still

I am moving to Pune after a 5 year stint in Chennai

My workplace will be in Hinjewadi which I believe is approx 3 kms off the Mumbai - Pune Expressway

I was wondering if it is a practical idea to be based out of Lonavala and commute to hinjewadi via the expressway

Considering Hinjewadi is just over 45 kms from Lonavala (per mapmyindia.com), it theoretically does seem to be a doable option but the ground reality may be very different.

Any pointers?

If you dont mind travelling for an hour and hour and a half to office than it is do-able.

Not a bad idea but it also depends on where you stay in lonavala, i mean there are traffic jams in lonavala too so that might increase your daily travel time specially in monsoons when lonavala is flooded with people, if your home is easily accesible from the highway then it's a decent idea but then again you would be spending too much on petrol.
