Need advice on accommodation

Hi guys,

I will be moving to Pune and need advice on areas where i can look for accommodation. My work place will be Off Mumbai-Pune Road, Pimpri, Pune near Kharalwadi.
I will hold a managerial position and need accommodation in cosmopolitan localities.
I am bachlor in late 20s.
Any advise asap is greatly appreciated considering commute timing and life of a bachlor.

Regards

Sam

That's a couple of miles up the road from my office, and I was living in Coventry prior to coming out here! Kharalwadi is a bit distant from the centre of Pune. How will you be commuting - will you have a driver? Koregaon Park is probably the most cosmopolitan part of Pune. It's fairly central, so expect a bit of a commute. 40 minutes to an hour possibly? I live out in the sticks in Baner myself, so that's just a guess really. I'm not familiar with Pimpri at all.

Hi James
which part of Cov you were in? I stay at Till Hill area. I would like advice on residential areas in range of 2-4 Km from specified work place. Let me know also we could meet up once I am there.
Cheers

I was in Tile Hill too, Bullfield Avenue to be precise. I'm not that familiar with the area around Kharalwadi, so I can't really help you there. You'll have to give people an idea as to how much you have to spend on rent. Since you mention cosmopolitan and the life of a bachelor, I would suggest Koregaon Park, or perhaps Aundh, and just deal with the commute.

When are you going to be in Pune? It shouldn't be a problem meeting up once you're here.

Hi
we are from UK and thinking of moving to Pune. Out son will probably ne going to a playschool in Wagholi. Is Baner too far from there. What sort of place is it? We want to find a place where we can socialize with people with children, people who like literature and films and music and lots and lots of talking about politics and life and bringing up children. Which place would you suggest in Pune. Koregaon park is probably out of question as our rental budget is rs 20000 and we need atleast three bedrooms.
