Help with Accommodation
Hi all
I just arrived in Pune one week ago to study Cinematography at FTII. As it were, I'm in somewhat of a bind as far as accommodation is concerned. I.e., the school's hostel is hopelessly overbooked and in between attending lectures and learning the ropes of the city I'm not making much progress in my search for a room outside the campus. I'm presently looking to start out with some form of PG accommodation in the vicinity of FTII. Do any of you know of someone renting rooms around here? Any helpful information in the matter would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps one of you know of an agent or two who could speed me along on my quest to my humble abode... Thanx much! Franco |

These might be helpful
Hi Franco,
Welcome to Pune. Perhaps you may wish to look at the listings for PGs in Shivaji Nagar or Model Colony on this link. Please note that Senapati Bapat Road ( SB Road) and Symbiosis are very close to the FTII. I have used this site in the past to rent out apartments and find rentals as well. http://pune.click.in/classified/real...ati-bapat.html All the best, I will keep an eye out for some better info. Hey Ashish
I'm familiar with Symbiosis, unfortunately they're closed until Nov. 7th due to Diwali. "SB Road" does not ring a bell, however. Are you referring to an institution there that might provide me with addresses and such? Thanks for the help Franco |

Apologies Franco, I should have been clearer in my last post
![]() SB Road is the road on which Symbiosis is situated. Most of the online listings seem to indicate SB Road as the location hence I wanted to point out that you may want to check those properties out. Well I checked today and dont seem to have the contact of a broker who could help out with flats around FTII. There is a long list of brokers available online but I have not used any of them so cannot vouch for their service. I would also suggest to scan the newspapers tomorrow (Sunday) as that is when most newspapers carry classifieds for rentals. I will keep an eye out as well. Cheers, Ashish |
