Retiring in Shayadris in Maharashtra

I intend to return back to India for retirement. I contemplated retiring in Himalayas but of late think that perhaps Shayadris would be a better option. I am thinking of buying 1 acre land some where near Mulshi Dam close to Pune. Any kind of input will be well appreciated.
