Hello All - First of all thanks for keeping such a useful forum up, helps quite a lot
So, I know there are quite a few posts about this (title must have been quite familiar) but I just want to get some specific answers to my case. So I apologize if I am breaking any guidelines. Alright, let me start with my query now: I am here in USA since few years now and working as a Technical PM in a WEBDEV Firm. My parents and fiance are in India and I was just doing the math on how am I going to plan my life after marriage without getting crushed and at that point the thought came across what if I move to India Query: How about the job opportunities for someone like me with US Masters and 2 years of Project Manager exp (full time employee) in a Web Development firm (Focused on Internet Dev/ Marketing) in cities like Banglore, Mumbai, Pune, etc. and salary ranges (rough idea) my est. is around 6-8 lacs/year but I might be wrong either way. My wife is a Financial analyst in a financial firm and already making 5 lacs/year. So basically, my est is if we both could get 11-12 lacs/year would it be enough to live a good comfortable life. (Me, Wife and parents) I have enough savings to get a home of my own (lets say around 50 lacs) If things work out then I would really like to come back to India and live in our own country. Looking forward to hear from you guys then. P.S.: I had this post under "You are not Alone" but this looks to be an appropriate thread Thanks Mod Note: I am therefore deleting the other identical post as you cannot post simultaneously the same thing in two forums. |

Many people are returning to India after completing their higher Education and work experience at US. In my workplace, all the senior employees have taken an Internal Transfer and have come back to India. So it is common these days and I know many people personally doing this.
With your profile, I guess, you should be able to get more than 5-6 lacs/year easily. It is great that you have enough money to buy a home here. For Job, try with any consultant or professional site. IM is a travel site so ... PM me with more details and I will see if I can help you for Job. |
