Moving to Gurgaon for a year

Hi all,
I am moving to Gurgaon, India from Manhattan for a period of 10-12 months. I was wondering what are the good neighborhoods and websites to look at to search for an apartment. I am single and am looking for a 1 bedroom furnished apartment. Any help from the forum members would be appreciated.

hi buddy welcome to india..............well what is your budget and what kind of apartment you looking for and what kind of neighbouhood........be specific on these details........i have many friends who are staying in gurgaon and they are all foreigners here for some specific projects for a short tenure..........i will give you their details if you want.........

HEy welcome to IM and welcome to India. There are lot of places to live in Gurgaon but to advise you better do give a rough ballpark figure of how much you are willing to spend

u have not mentioned ur work place. if u r to work in Manesar area then 'Sohna Road' would be the best location to live. there are many good societies and posh apartments there and is very near to Manesar.
u also have choice of DLF Phase I,II,III and IV, Shushant Lok, South City and many more. these are all well developed residential areas with beautiful apartments and all kind of modern facilities.

search www.99acres.com and www.magicbricks.com

u'll get proper idea of availability and exact rent of the apartments in these websites.

Thanks all for your reply. My office is going to be located at Sector 42, Sector Road. I was wondering if there are any good apartments around that area. As for rent, I am not sure what the rentals are, but was looking at something around Rs 15,000 to start with. Looking forward for your advise and comments. Thanks

well you can surely get a very good apartment in 15000 ................my friends lives in sector 42 only and he is giving the same rent and man his apartment is happening ...................get in touch wid me i will arrange sumthing nice for u..........
