Kerala Costs

Hi All

I am a Brit artist who is considering moving to Kerela for an extented period of time and will be looking for an apartment in either the Cochin or Trivandrum area. Has anyone any idea of the present cost as regards a two bedroomed westen style, furnished or partially furnished apartment in either of these cities. I am aware of course that prices differ dependant on area and apartment, I just need a rough price guide. Futhermore, any other information which anyone could provide or suggest as regards living in Kerela would be welcome, as long as the words "Gods own country" are not included in the answer. This is not my first visit to India.

Thanks

Dale

Woops... I just did . Did you want to exclude any enquiry about visas, too?

Welcome to the site! Hopefully some interesting replies will be forthcoming...

Does extended period mean 5 months or 5 years? I ask because, as well as the issue of the "Big V" it might impact on rent and availability of property.

EDITED TO ADD: Did you know that Kerala can get a little bit warm? Oh, and that it has been described as "Gods own country"?
