Nia - sounds like we have a lot in common. . . and my partner is also a teacher. What is the organisation you are interested in? And what will you be doing there?
We are definitely going (he is going next month, but I have to work until end of sept). . . so if you do decide to go maybe we could meet before we go to share ideas? Jo |

Greetings from the US. It looks like I will be relocating to Kochi for about a year starting in a few months. I am a single guy and was wondering if there is any nightlife to speak of or a good gym or places to hang out.
I've lived in Delhi for a bit and that was just like home in terms of things to do during in-city downtime. Any advice would be appreciated... and maybe we'll meet when I get there! |

Expats in Kochi
My husband and I have been living in Kochi for almost 2 years now. My husband is a engineer working for a U.S./India company here. We would love to meet others with similiar situations. Please feel free to email me direct at hoosierh3@cfl.rr.com for any questions and advice.
We could meet for dinner or drinks. |

Hi everybody,
We're an Israeli couple that going to arrive to south of india. first traveling for a month, and then staying somewhere and working on our online business for 6 months. a perfect place will be a house in a beautiful place with good internet connection and some tourists / western residence. we like living in nature: green hills or beach house and like warm weather. do you have an ideas about the location? what is the average cost for 2 bedroom house? there is also the possibility to live in a cheap guest house like we did in dharamsala for 100 rp per day for a room in the mountains. we're very excited about our plan and all the time day dreaming about India. thanks, Avner & Lian |

moving to Kochi as well!
Hello Jo and Nia,
My husband and I will also be moving to Kochi from London but not until next year. Just hoping to hear more about your experiences. Also curious to find out the organization that you will be working with Nia. Thanks! Simone |

Hi Simone -
Well my plans have changed a bit and will now be living in Calicut/Kozikode. Still not sure what I can do work wise - I'm looking for an ngo I can get volunteer for. Not sure exactly how long the train is to Kochi - but not too far I think. So if and when any of you arrive in Kochi it would be great to meet up. I am going in a few weeks. Jo |
