Working in CBD Belapur

Hi all,

I should arrive in Mumbai in November, to work in CBD Bealpur (Navi Mumbai).
I was wondering living in Powai or Bandra.
Could you give me the approximate travel time for :
1. Going to Belapur in the morning from these 2 places
2. Going back home at night

Thank you !

Have a nice we,
Phil

You'll spend most of your time commuting on horrible roads with chaotic traffic

It is best if you stay in Belapur itself !!

Powai to Belapur is around 60 to 75 mins morning and 90 to 110 mins in the evening.

Bandra to Belapur is around 60 mins morning and 75 mins return.

This is by your own car, not public transport. Public transport add another 25 per cent.

Better stay in Belapur itself. Or Vashi at the most, if you want a centralized location.

Thank you for your answer.
I thought it would last more than 2 hours to go back from CBD Belapur to Bandra around 6pm...
Is Belapur and Navi Mumbai an "expat friendly" place ? I am coming with my wife & baby from France.

Hello Philypan,

If you are an expat then I recommed the following nodes will be good to stay near Belapur in terms of security, people around, amenities and facilities.
  • Seawoods Estate, Nerul <4-5 kms from Belapur>: (Also called Non resident indian/ NRI complex) This Estate is a complex of 50 odd residential buildings of 20 + storeyed each. This complex is on PAlm Beach road and is surrounded by sea on the other side. Completely gated community and you will see a lot of expats their. Estimated rent for a 3 BHK would be 30K INR for basic to 80K INR for penthouses. http://www.cidcoindia.com/UserFiles/File/nrihousing2.jpg
  • Kharghar: <2 kms away from Belapur> A very upcoming residential node. Thier are lot of societies. Major ones include Regency Hills, Kesar Harmony and upcoming Hexblox and Kesar Exotica. This is not as designed as the way Seawoods is designed, but the location is amongst the greens and hills. Estimated rent would be 20k to 50k. REad more about this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kharghar
  • Palm Beach road: <8-10 kms away from Belapur>You are near to the heart of the New Bombay, Vashi, which is the major hub of New Bombay. Their are lot of residential complexes along the Palm Beach Road. This is approximately around 30 k to 150k INR depending upon the location chosen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palm_Beach_Road
The seawoods NRI Estate would be the best according to me.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Hymz
