Short term accommodation in Mumbai

Hi All
am relocating to Mumbai from NYC and after reading all the horror stories about rental searches, was wondering if anyone would know short term suites/ furnished apts// other options for a month or so...while i apt hunt

I found a few things online but outrageously expensive - 600o rs a day etc, which i cant do over 2 mths..

a budget of about 1000 a day, or 30k a mth would be so ideal!..and all i want is an independent space (no shares, no pg) ..

Please tell me if you have shortlisted any areas in Bombay...and if not...then is there any place you will be visitng often in Bombay (like office) so that I can suggest a few accordingly.

IndiaMike has recently decided not to carry any more accommodation advertisements. They were attracting too much commercial activity.
