new to navi mumbai

hi everyone,

i've been here in navi mumbai staying with my husband and his family for the past month, and planning to stay here awhile. (i'm from the U.S.) i am hoping to get lessons in Marathi from someone around here. does anyone know of anywhere or anyone i could get lessons from? (a retired teacher, some type of school?) also, are there any other expats in this area? could you tell me how you like it here? in some ways i find living in navi mumbai is easier than if i lived in the city, but also far away from a lot of the "happenings" in town.

Smile new to navi mumbai

After living in the US (California) for over a decade, my husband and I moved back to India. We live on Palm Beach Road in Navi Mumbai. I really like it here, but we have not had a chance to make friends yet. Navi Mumbai is much more cleaner and has less traffic and less pollution than Mumbai, but you do miss out on all the excellent restaurants and other stuff in Mumbai. Let me know if you have any questions about Navi Mumbai and I can try and answer them. I have only been her for 3 months now.

I dont know much about Airoli, but there are really nice upscale apartments on Palm Beach road in Sanpada, Nerul and Seawoods. Delhi Public School and Ryan International are the closest schools here.
