In the downtown area, you have the Heera Panna shopping center at Haji Ali where you will definitely find all the goodies you want from all the corners of the earth!!! And if you do not find something you want just ask for it to be ordered and they might even take a shopping list from you (same for Alfa too)!!! All prices will be more than what you would pay for at home, sometimes even double the rates!!! So think before you order or buy your stuff.
Cheers, Aadil.

Sounds something like INA-Market in Delhi, which i always liked. I'll certainly check out these places. Some sacrifices (with respect to the cost) have to be made.

In Bobay with Kitty also!!
Hi Everyone,
I know this is a late posting, but I will post anyway. I am new to Bombay also, and last week was adopted by a kitten. I have looked all over the place for food. So what I did was go to the fish and chicken market and by scraps and liver. She like both very much. It does not cost much 10Rs for 3-4 days of food. Thanks for all the great ideas on westeren goodies, no one mentioned Big Bazzar? no cat food but some westeren goodies. Larki |

Hello, all,
Thanks for all your helpful advice. I'm probably going to be moving to Mumbai in March or April with my cat. Does anyone have the contact info for Dr. Rajyadakhsa mentioned in this string? Thanks so much. |

For cat sitting you may want to contact PAWS (http://www.karmayog.com/ngos/paws.htm). I do not have personal experience with them but receive their newsletters for about two years and they seem to do good work. of You could contact Nilesh Bhanage, Tel:+91-251-2625059, Cel: +91 9820161114 or NileshBhanage@asbi.co.in. Nilesh is the founder of PAWS and(, moderators,) these contact details are permitted to be published.
Good luck and thanks for taking care of CUPA cat (I used to live in Bangalore e and did a lot of work with CUPA). |

i m from mumbai, and love all animals. i have a cat at home, and feed a lot of other cats and dogs around. let me know where u are going to stay in bombay, and i will send u names of good vets around that area. bombay is a big city, and it takes almost 2 hours to travel from 1 end to other end, so you wouldnt want to spend that much time taking ur cat to the vet, and it will freak travelling so much, with horns blaring all around!
