Mumbai Schools
Can anyone help me on the schools front. We're moving to Mumbai in December (we're Brits) and would like my little one to start in a Kindergarten in January. He's 3 at the moment but nursery schools are no good. I need a school he can stay in until he's 6 or 7 as he's moved around a lot the last year or so, and I want him to be settled for 3-4 years. ASB are saying they are full. DSB also are full. Ecole Mondiale has a place but I've heard Juhu is a long way out (husband will be working in Worli) and I am waiting for a reply from Dhirubhai Ambani International School but I don't know anything about it. Does anyone know any other international schools or have any comments on the ones I have mentioned already. Thanks for your help.

Dhirubhai Ambani Intl School is good also. Its at BKC travel time from Worli in the mornings will be approx 30min (upper limit). It is adjacent to ASB.

Schools
Hi
Juhu need not be a long way out. If your husband works in Worli you could live in Bandra and getting to school would not be that bad. I think it unlikely you will want the ambani school -very much follows the indian way which is not compat with the UK way if you want to go back at the end of your stay Why not come for a visit and look at the schools and see if they offer what you want. Many schools call themselves international in the title but are really not |

If your husband is working at Worli, the Bombay International school is not far off at all. It's located at:
Gilbert Bldg, Near Wilson College, Grant Road, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400007, India +91 22 23648206 |

schools mumbai
Please see my post above
Schooling is a very personal matter - please please if you are used to US/UK education and want to return to it after a posting in mumbai- Do come and look at the schools - the word international has no bearing on the level or standard of education given |

hi my step daughter is just moving to mumbai in sept. do u think its a good idea to try to get her in the middle of the 9th grade? do schools even accept that? or should i try to put her in an open school where she can pace her studies? i realize we have a yearly system and thus its very difficult to find her a school which commences during spet-oct
