Hi Mogster and others, welcome to IM - have you decided?

Personally I don't think it's reasonable for a company to expect a decision without allowing you and your wife to visit and see the city for yourself.

If my wife hadn't made an informed choice after having a look herself, then in the tougher moments (there will be many) she would have blamed everything on me. With hindsight she's glad we made the move, but Mumbai is tough for everyone, not just ex pats. Visit in the monsoon (now) and see the city at her worst .... with no make-up, in a bad mood and with a pounding headache .... and if you still fancy her, make the move.
