Moving to Mumbai - need advice

HI I would be moving to Mumbai shortly. My office would be in Khoparkairne and my wife's office in Lower Parel. I need some advice on where I can find housing. My budget is 20 to 25 K for a two bed house.
Few points - I would be driving to work and my wife would have to rely on public transport. I prefer the hosuing location to be closer to my wife's office than mine. Also any advice on how she can reach work would be of great help.
Thanks
Sankar

Try Dadar(East), Matunga, Sion or Wadala....

One problem will be congested trains to Parel for your wife. But staying south of Parel (and travelling against the traffic so less crowded) will be a) expensive and b) far from Kopark.

You could try Dosti Acres or Bhakti Park in Wadala - lovely complexes and quite convenient for both of you. Am afraid , not much by way of a social life in that area though - for that you will need to come to Lower Parel or Bandra

Moving to Mumbai - Need Advice

Hi Sankar,

As mentioned by Rahul, Wadala is one of the options given that he says the apt complexes are good. However matunga would be closer to Lower Parel and on the same train line (red) western railway. Pl refer to the below link.

http://www.mapsofindia.com/maps/mumbai/mumbai_rail.htm

You can drive down from Matunga via Chembur, Govandi, Vashi and reach Koparkhirane. If you plan to work at Reliance DAKC, then the office timings would be very convenient as they start work at 10.30 AM only and you can finish Breakfast at Pancharatna, opposite Dmart or delicious south indian Dosa/idly in Vashi Sector 4.

When are you planning to move ? have you completed your look see trip ? Hoping to hear more from you soon,

Raghu Kumar
