Moving to mumbai from UK - salary expectations?

Hi guys,

I am looking to move to Mumbai in November this year (2009) and was wondering what wud my salary package look like?

I have 2years UK work experience and have an undergrauate business degree. I am looking for marketing jobs in Mumbai - however am wondering what would my annual salary look like?

Most websites (like naukri.com etc) are looking for 5-10years work experience - which i clearly dont have - so am confused what salary shud I expect when I come down to B'bay? Will I have an edge due to foreign education? Or does that not count...

I am terribly confused as I dont know what salary to expect for the field of marketing - any help wud be much appreciated...

Mumbai is a city of contrasts ;-) Salaries may range from 20,000 Rs per month to 200,000 Rs per month - depending on the company, mostly

Not on your experience or background.

Look for a foreign company that got an office here - they pay much more, as far as I know. You should be able to find a job that pays as much as you would get in Europe.
