Moving to Mumbai for work

Hi all,

Moving to Mumbai from UK. Looking for work within Tv but not quite sure how much one could expect in respect to salary or job role? Have freelanced in Uk on few projects.

Would anybody know..where one could apply? or any contacts one may have?

Secondly,how much rent one is expected to pay ? could one avail a sharinng place ? furnished? any one you might recommend?
Around Suburbs is where I am looking.

Lastly, Cost of living > food &travel(daily basis),shopping etc ?

your questions are not very clear.... if you want to work in film industry.. I am afraid that you will get role so easily. also you will require work permit from Indian authorities...

ya for a change you can get work as extras ...

same about your cost of living...it depandas on your budget .. in suburbs you can get accomodation from Rs 4000 - 100000. depands on the area...

also sharing accomodation is also available, furnished though. ..... you just have to check your budget.

Hi Welcome to IM, I agree with ashu it depends on your budget,

SO what sort of work you are looking for just curious to know,
cause i am a Art director with Ad agency in mumbai!

Most of the film fraternity they lives in juhu, Andheri lokhandwala- versova, Bandra band stand
And yea there is heavy chance of foreigner to work in bollywood as extra in films, It do happen lot around here

In andheri you might get around 5-6 k for sharing where as in bandra it will be little more expensive
