THANKS!! what if i use the studio (just thinking aloud) before the new user arrives. How much could that be? How does exactly being a PG work? You just pay per week? Month? all together? YOu share with the owner? Do you have your own privacy? bla blabla, I am quite new here, so anything would help. Besides, i dont think can do the PM thing (whatever it is) i have just been around for not long (check date). I need to re-read other people's answers, but if u can add your tips.. WELCOME!! I plan to study HINDI, and take dancing lessons. Suggestions? THough i may go, i plan to eat at "home", not restaurants. So that obviously means acces to the kitchen; i mean, permission.
How much do the agents charge? THanks again, |

Normally, you pay for the PG on a monthly basis. Typically, you will be staying at the owner's house, where he/she would be giving away a room on rent. These PGs can of different kinds.
The ideal scenario probably would be to have the ones with the separate entrance - This way, you come in and go whenever you want and so the owners are not really disturbed and all. Such PGs won't have any curfews on how late you can come in and all that, but the downside is that, in a place like Bandra, this would cost around 10-12,000 (INR). It can cost more (and if you are lucky, less!), depending on the society and the facilities provided. There could also be PGs with 'common entrances', in which case, it would help to have an owner, who is more accomodative! You could get your own copy of the key to the door and so late nights shouldn't be a problem then! In case you want to cut down on the rent and still want to stick to Bandra, then you could also consider a shared PG, where you will have to share the room with one or more persons. Some owners also allow access to kitchen. But you will have to check up with them before on that! Hope this helps! Last edited by kritikal : May 23rd, 2008 at 14:26. |

Sharing is good. But I hope i dont need to go for a shared PG, please. Now i am on holidays, in between jobs (more exactly) but i am more than used to share my space and want my own, even if i have to go further, or even if i stay outside home surrounded by a lot of people. Too much bla bla, didnt have a good sleeping night, sorry!
Of course it helps, so DHANYAWAD. as soon as i buy my ticket, i'll let u know, maybe we can go for a lashi together! DOnt worry if u r busy, though. DHANYAWAD!! |
