Hi DN,

Gud to hear from you. Nerul is a good place to live.it is a combination of middle and upper middle class society, whereas Seaewoods is on the upper side and Expats. You would need to decide what atmosphere is best for your child. Yes the DPS school is very close to Sea Woods Complex, not that Nerul is far. Infact When you drive from Vashi, Seawoods would be on the right and Nerul on to the left.

Nice that you are coming on a pre view trip. Did you write to my friend Ranjit. I had told him last week that you might get in touch with him. Atleast drop him a note saying you would contact again in June when you are there and copy me in the note so that he is aware that you are my India Mike Pal.

I dont think running a AC for about 12 hours would cost so much. I have two Split ACs and 2 Window Units in my house and atleast two Splits would run continusly at night and all other electircial gadgets put together ( fans, lights, microwave, Mixie, juicer, fridge, iron box, heater, TV ) the bill comes to only around 7000 per month. Just for the ACs alone, may be it would come to 1500 to 2000 depending on the usage.

There is a lovely Venkateswara temple up the hill near Nerul. Very nice place. Just two kms away. Thought I would let you know incase you are interested.

Thanks for the info. I think we will most likely reside in Nerul or Seawoods Complex. We also learnt that there is a DPS School in Nerul that I believe is very good. I had some cousins who graduated from DPS in Delhi.

My assumption is that KG and Primary School fees & expenses (excluding regsitration & caution deposit) can run about 4K to 8K per month per child? And, you're right about the Ambani Intl. school - it's just too far from Navi Mumbai.

The other figure I'm including to my estimates is the electricity bill with 1 and 2 A/C units. I suspect we'll need atleast one unit to start with and then another one later. I was told that one A/C unit running about 10 - 14 hours/day can cost about 6K per month. Can you adivise?

On a personal note, I plan to visit Navi Mumbai for a site visit in June and will likely move there by September this year - if everything goes as planned.

Thanks for the help
DN
