Nihao ma?

Hi Fleurdezouky!
Sorry for a delayed reply, I was bouncing around Goa and offline...
I *DO* have the name of a hindi tutor I have been going to, she was actually a second referral(in a chain of 3 people)! I guess exam times are busy. Anyway, she has time,I know because I asked on behalf of my inlaws who are living here. Also she is in Khar West(2 minutes from the station),which is not too bad (3 stops from Andheri).BUT you should go visit her and see if you like her teaching style and if your personalities are compatible, etc. I'll give you more info (including her name and number) if you PM me...actually even if you have found a teacher, I'd like to hear about them...
ttyl,
e.

PS hiya Oyar!

PPS seems like we need a Mandarin-Mumbaikers group or something...

Hey Onigirlx ... hows goa treating you? Im sure it must be boiling by now !! I dread to think what it would be like in mid april when i have to head there.

I think Fleur might not be able to receive PMs cause she still requires a few more mandatory posts.

I have put up my temp id .. so once she emails me - i will pass on your email address to her. BTW .. pls also email the tutor's contact.

Hindi Tutor in Khar West?

Hi Onigirlx,

I'm in Mumbai for a few weeks visiting from the States and I really want to learn Hindi. I'm staying in Khar West--can I get the contact info for the tutor from you? Would you recommend her/him?

Thank you!

mod note

Hi Rani. We recommend to first time users on IM that they not list their email address in posts, as this will be picked up by search engines resulting in spam being sent to you. Just use this thread to exchange information. Thanks for your help.

Hi could I get the name of that teacher too? And how she going to feel about being inundated with students? I'm in Andheri West, is anyone interested in setting up a small group class? Does anyone know of any institution that runs an intensive HIndi summer school? I tried some of those links posted earlier with no luck. Sorry to arrive on the forum with a multitude of queries!

i would do small group classes. it seems that it's the end of the school year so most tutors are busy with exams. it surprises me that mumbai doesn't have a language school...does anybody no of one? where you could do a 3-5 week intensive course? please send us the info!

Hindi tuitions

The easiest way to get a Hindi tutor is to go to the nearest school and approach the Hindi language teachers there. They all give private tuitions to augment their incomes. But it will not be cheap in Mumbai, that is for sure. You can ask your neighbours about local schools.
